To all my dear friends...
It has been months and
years (for some of you) that we have last contact each other. How have you
been?
I just have the thought of
creating this blog to keep you updated of things happening in my life.
Happily married (18th
Feb 2006)
Well, I do believe that there are changes in your walk of life, same for
myself. Yes, I have been married for 6 months plus and we things couldn't be
rosier for both me and Dion. Well, we do squabble
at times. Which married couple doesn't, right? Thanks to those friends that are
present at our wedding. We couldn't thank you enough. Cheers!
My dad left us (11th May 2006)
Shortly after we are married for 3 months, my beloved father left us for a
better place. He has been suffering from lung cancer for slightly less than a
year and he was called back to be with the Lord on 11th of May 2006. We missed
him dearly and that he definitely has left a deep footprint in our hearts. One of the reason that we have got
married that early is also to fulfill his dream to see us walking down the
aisle and we are glad to have his presence and blessing in our wedding. He was
diagnosed of lung cancer when we are preparing for our wedding. Dad, We love you and missed you so!
My smoker friends, just a gentle
reminder... do take care of your health and if possible... PLEASE QUIT SMOKING.
My mom recieved the Lord
Thank God that my mom has trusted the Lord and now she is a regular attendee at
both her cell group and church. However, she has not really get over my dad's
dismissal... Now, I just hope to spend more time with her.
Sale & Marketing
Engineer, my new job!
After the funeral, I had a month break to accompany my mum. I have always plan
to leave my previous company, Sol Electronics and the timing couldn't be
better. I left a few days earlier as I need to attend to my dad's funeral and
also to be at his side when he is seriously ill. It was when the day my dad
passed away, I was offered to a few jobs. One of them is from Performance Motor
and the other one is from my current company. It was indeed a tough decision to
make but I chose the latter one (as you already know) as I thought that Sales
& Marketing is what I always have passion doing. Alas... here I am! I would
say so far so good... Well... who knows when that's better opportunity I will
move on. Haha... Typical Singaporean!
Home renovation starting
soon
Speaking of typical Singaporean... Yes, we have always been sloughing our lives
for the roof above our heads. I have just joined the ranks of the group that
are working the next 30 years for their home. Haha... Good grieve!
We just went through the
1st HDB appointment on 29th of August 2006 (ironically my dad's birthday) and
looking to complete the whole resale transaction of buying over my parents'
place (our current home). From then, we will do up our current place. It is
gonna be a complete makeover and the family is excited over it. There will be a
few weeks of inconvenience
for us as we are shifting to a temporary location for the time being. We have
chosen the interior designer for the job and we are confident that she will do
a good job to it. Anyway, I'll update you on our home during and after the
makeover. Stay tuned...
PS: I will do a makeover for this blog too... but bear with me as I am also
busy with my work. Cheers.. drop me a note on how you are doing too...
